Leslie is a NYC native. Her last CD, Tenderland, combines a voice of immense power and sensuality with politically and personally astute lyrics.

Her new CD, Balm for Gilead, is due to be released in the Fall of 2016.
 
Stories on Leslie have appeared widely in magazines and on television and radio including, MTV, VH1, Dateline NBC, Good Morning America, CNN headline News, CBS Evening News with Dan Rather, to name a few.
 
Leslie has sung for Nelson Mandela.
 
Leslie was invited to perform at the Lilith Fair where she shared the stage with Sarah McLachlan, Sheryl Crow, the Indigo Girls, and the Dixie Chicks.
 
Leslie’s songwriting skills have won her accolades including three times having been honored with the National Academy of Popular Music’s Best Songwriter National Search.
 
Leslie has taken time off to raise her son, and is very excited to be releasing her new record this Fall.
 
She is happily married to Emily Hartzell, a writer/visual artist, and New York City public school science teacher.
